Galust Berian is one of the
premiere impressionist painters of our day. This Russian born artist is
known for the impressive use of light in his vibrant still life works and
seasonal landscapes.
From an early age he studies
under the tutelage of his father, a noted European artist and academician.
From 1981 to 1985 he worked with late master, Sergei Bongart at the School
of Fine Art in Los Angeles, as well as at Bongart’s studio in Northern
Idaho.
Having established himself as an
immensely talented painter in his own right, Galust exhibited in numerous
group, invitational and one-man exhibitions across the country. In 1988 he
was awarded the prestigious Silver Medal for Oil at the National Academy of
Western Art.
Today, Berian enjoys the solitude
of rural Idaho. A quiet, unassuming man, he continually strives to better
himself as an artist. He believes that underlying all art there must be
talent, inspiration and hard work, and that there cannot be true art if the
artist works without self-sacrifice, humanity and love.
Kneeland Gallery is proud to
exclusively represent the work of Galust Berian in the United States.
