BLESSING OF THE BEAR

Warrior Series

In this latest masterwork, Blessing of the Bear,

Kicking Bear is being prepared for another battle

against the Cavalry. Kicking Bear’s regalia includes

his beaded war shirt, rifle scabbard with his Winchester ,

and his shield for protection. Other items featured in

this piece include a beaded knife sheath on his belt, and

an ammunition bag tied at his waist. His bear claw

necklace is worn to draw upon the power of his

bear medicine. The Holy Man, standing behind Kicking

Bear, is blessing him with an eagle’s wing prayer fan

and preparing him for warfare. Smudged with the smoke

of sweet grass, Kicking Bear prepares to avenge the death of his people.
